Akana is performing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments for Century Land Holdings II, LLC around the metropolitan area of Austin, Texas.
We have provided due diligence support on several properties that Century Communities has recently acquired. The scope of work includes review of available state reports that document previous environmental investigations, historical sources to identify those uses or occupancies that are likely to have led to environmental conditions, topographic, geologic, and hydrogeological information to determine the soil types and depth to groundwater that are expected at the property, environmental record sources to identify conditions of the property, and site reconnaissance to obtain information and photographic documentation of the subject property and adjacent properties.
The Phase I Assessments are performed under the scope of work defined by ASTM Standard E 1527-13 and 40 CFR Part 312, for All Appropriate Inquiries. Peter Van Zandt is serving as Century’s point of contact and is responsible for implementing the work in accordance with the scope of services, performing the site visit, and preparing the report. Ryan Waits is a junior environmental engineer assisting with field work, report preparation, research, and any other tasks required in order to complete each project. Carol Townsend is the QA/QC officer responsible for reviewing reports prior to submittal to Century. Bill Desmond is serving as the client service manager responsible for ensuring that all of Century’s needs are met and resolving any issues that might arise.
Customer satisfaction is evident due to each of our assignments being achieved with a 2-week turnaround, which we plan to continue as this professional relationship continues to develop.
