Kenyon Zero Industrial Site Development

Kenyon Zero Industrial Site Development

Akana engineers provided civil site design, permitting support, structural engineering and foundation design for two industrial site development projects involving new cold storage facilities.

  • New Freezer and Dock Facility, Prosser, WA.  This project involved site civil engineering and design, permitting support, and structural and foundation design for an expansion of Kenyon Zero’s frozen storage facility in Prosser, Washington.  The project consisted of an 87,000 s.f. metal building providing freezer space at –10 degrees F.  The project was performed on a fast-track, design build basis where design was initiated in April and Kenyon Zero was granted occupancy in September of the same year.
  • Site Development, Pasco, WA.  Key factors in development of this industrial site  include minimizing import of fill, rail spur alignment and grade, truck turning and parking movements for loading/unloading, and site access.  We are providing planning and design services, including preparing the grading report and designing the site access road, parking areas, rail spur unloading dock, and stormwater management facility.  All design will be compliant with the City of Pasco and Port of Pasco requirements.
