Warm Springs National Fish Hatchery Water System Improvements

Warm Springs National Fish Hatchery Water System Improvements

Under our Indefinite Delivery Contract with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Akana provided civil engineering services to redesign and simplify the existing domestic and fire suppression water systems at the Warm Springs National Fish Hatchery to meet current needs and to reduce operation and energy costs.

To address domestic water system deficiencies, which included corrosion in the underground steel tank and inadequate water pressure at hatchery residences, several alternatives were developed and evaluated, followed by final design of the recommended improvements and services during construction.  We also developed a hydraulic model of the existing fire suppression distribution system, evaluated alternatives to address identified system deficiencies, and prepared an Engineering Report documenting the analyses and recommendations.
