Civil Engineering - OR | WA | Las Vegas | Hybrid

Akana, a Native American-owned multi-discipline consulting firm with a diverse portfolio of clients and projects throughout the United States, is seeking to add a Civil Engineer to our firm.  This position is Full Time.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Independently evaluates, selects, and adapts standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria for assigned projects
  • Works on multiple projects 
  • Designs, creates, and prepares calculations, report systems, components, project documentation and associated with regulatory and permitting processes.
  • Plans and coordinates detailed aspects of project work by preparing scopes, budgets, and schedules for design and construction.
  • Prepares feasibility studies, engineering documents, construction specifications by analyzing engineering design requirements and assembling data.
  • Assign tasks to and direct technical work assignments for staff engineers, staff technicians, subconsultants and administrative staff
  • Receives general instruction on key objectives by more senior engineers
  • Receives guidance when necessary, on complex problems or project modifications
  • Assist with proposals
  • Mentors staff engineers
  • Interacts with clients, customers, officials, and contractors as directed.
  • Attends project meetings and may present publically, specific aspects of assigned projects
  • 10-20% of travel time may be required 

Required Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience
  • Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred 
  • AutoDesk Civil 3D or Bentley Station
  • Ability to prepare and review standard engineering documentation and plans
  • Ability to work to deadlines and within budgets

 

 

 

 

 

The salary for this position is competitive and based on depending on education, certifications, experience, and location. Range 75K – 90K
