

Geologist III

This position is considered full-time.

In this key role, you’ll combine project management, technical expertise, and mentorship to make a significant impact on a diverse range of environmental projects across the United States.
Minimum Required Key Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in environmental consulting, specializing in environmental sampling and cleanup
- Proven leadership: Capable of managing projects, mentoring staff, and training
- A Bachelor’s degree in Geology with current licensure as a geologist in Oregon and Washington.
- HAZWOPER training and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills, able to engage effectively with clients, colleagues, government officials, and stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and manage complex environmental projects, developing technical scopes of work and cost estimates that meet client needs and exceed expectations.
- Design and implement innovative remedial actions, collaborating with engineering teams to deliver cost-effective solutions.
- Oversee project coordination and execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and with the highest level of quality.
- Prepare feasibility studies and reports that guide remediation efforts, and communicate progress with clients, government officials, and stakeholders.
- Play a key role in business development and client relationship-building
- Represent Akana at industry events, promoting our expertise and Native American values
