Mechanical Engineer

This position is full-time with immediate availability. Option to work remotely in the NW region.

In this key role, you will create HVAC and MEP system design specifications, develop construction documentation, conduct energy calculations, manage life cycle project development, and ensure code compliance for all MEP systems.

 

Minimum Required Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • Licensure or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred
  • Strong proficiency in CAD and Revit, with 3D modeling skills as a plus
  • Solid understanding of engineering analysis tools
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively
  • Must be able to pass background and drug tests
  • Strong client-facing, relationship-building, and client management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Building and Mechanical Codes and Standards
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with Fire Life Safety system design is preferred
  • Proficiency in Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and Building Automation Systems (BAS) desired
  • Renewable energy design experience is a plus

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Apply advanced engineering principles and techniques to complete assignments independently.
  • Design systems that meet project needs and develop outline designs.
  • Identify challenges and create effective solutions.
  • Assess final design performance, reliability, and safety, making modifications to optimize energy efficiency.
  • Assist in estimating project budgets and scope.
  • Collect feedback from operators to improve designs.
  • Prepare project reports and documentation.
  • Receive guidance on critical issues and new concepts.
  • Lead project meetings, presentations, and interactions with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with industry personnel to support business development.
  • Occasional travel (20-30%) may be required.
