Regional Manager - OR | WA

Akana, a Native American-owned multi-discipline consulting firm with a diverse portfolio of clients and projects throughout the United States, is seeking to add a Regional Manager to our firm.

The Regional Manager’s role is to manage business development and business operations for Akana’s clients and target clients in Eastern Washington and Oregon, including but not limited to opportunities at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Hanford Site, regional municipalities, utility districts, tribes, and state-sponsored projects in the region. Business development targets will be incorporated into a region-specific business plan coordinated with the Sr. VP and VP of Business Development

 

Qualifications:

  • 10 to 15 years experience as a business manager or similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

 

General Responsibilities are:

  • Work closely with the Board of Directors to implement business administrative goals and objectives according to the company’s needs.
  • Provides routine information to and coordinates with the VPDS and Chief Operating Officer (COO) regarding group utilization, project performance, profitability, and business development opportunities
  • Coordinate, integrate, and execute company administrative operations for information technology, fleet management, environmental health and safety, corporate licensing, and risk management
  • Providing supervision, guidance, and direction to respective department managers
  • Works closing with Vice President, Business Development to help supervise proposal writing staff
  • Supports Human Resources in associated recruiting and hiring efforts
  • Maintains contacts within the industry, seeks new projects and coordinates with the business development team
  • 10-20% travel time may be required, including routine in-person meetings with the architecture group
