Staff Landscape Designer

Akana, a Native American-owned multi-discipline consulting firm with a diverse portfolio of clients and projects throughout the United States, is seeking to add a Staff Landscape Designer to our firm.  This position is full time hybrid.

 

The minimum required qualifications for this position are shown below:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • A working knowledge of AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, InDesign
  • A strong interest in working on a variety of project types
  • Strong graphic and communication skills
  • Motivated team player

General Responsibilities are:

 

  • Collaborate with project team (architectural and engineering professionals) to design the landscaping, stormwater management, grading, hardscape design and irrigation systems
  • Production of project construction plans, details, and ongoing project documentation
  • Provide production support for project managers on landscape architecture, civil engineering, architecture and planning projects.
  • Design conceptual landscape plans for residential, institutional and cultural developments.
  • Create detailed designs, drawings, and specifications
  • Use CAD, LandFx and collaboration software (Bluebeam) to produce work products
