Staff Recruiter - Portland, OR (Onsite)
Akana, a Native American-owned multi-discipline consulting firm with a diverse portfolio of clients and projects throughout the United States, is seeking to add a Staff Recruiter to our firm. This position is full-time, hybrid.
We are looking for a Staff Recruiter who has passion for the entirety of the hiring process. You are expected to establish relationships with candidates to identify their best qualities A key element of this job is maintaining knowledge of firm-specific roles and requirements. Success in this position is demonstrated by maintaining an uninterrupted supply of high-quality candidates to each department.
The minimum required qualifications for this position are shown below:
- 1 year recruitment experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Must value teamwork.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task, handle multiple projects with the same deadlines, and work in a constant fast-paced, changing environment.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
General Responsibilities are:
- Advertise job openings on careers pages, job boards and social networks (e.g. LinkedIn)
- Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media etc.
- Collaborates with managers to understand skills and competencies required for positions.
- Screen candidates resumes and job applications
- Conducts phone screenings and leads interviews
- Report to hiring managers and HR manager on the status of open positions
- Answer candidates’ queries regarding the application process
- Provide interview feedback, when necessary and appropriate
- Participate in recruitment events; career fairs, college recruiting, internship program, and other activities as needed.
- Perform other duties as needed.
