Professional Experience
John has performed numerous technical and management roles during his 36-year career. He recently served as president of a Portland-based regional groundwater resources and environmental consulting firm with offices in Oregon and California; as a corporate operations director for a major environmental consulting firm’s western region—providing oversight and direction for offices in Portland, San Francisco, Seattle, Salt Lake City and Boulder. From 2013 to 2015, he served as chief operating officer in Brazil. Prior to moving to Portland in 1996, he worked in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Las Vegas, Nevada. 

John’s strong technical and management expertise is reflected in his proven success managing multidisciplinary teams conducting fast-track, complex environmental studies and siting/alternatives analyses by providing key liaison with both private-sector and government clients, environmental management planning, expert technical reviews, and quality assurance.  

He has provided program direction, key technical reviews, and QA for major, multisite contracts with the Bureau of Land Management, USDA Forest Service, the United States Army Corps of Engineers, the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories, the National Park Service, the States of Oregon and New Mexico, and a variety of other private and public sector clients.
