Professional Experience
Tara has over 16 years of experience providing project management and contract administration on large and mid-sized civil and industrial projects. She has proven experience with federal, state, and multiple municipalities as well as private entities with Project Management and Contract Administration requirements with proven expertise working on Federal Aid and LAG Manual requirements. Tara is experienced working with contractors, subcontractors, and labor unions, and is well-versed in the applicable union agreements and contractual documents.
Tara is the environmental, health, and safety coordinator for Akana. Tara researches to stay current on all items related to the COVID-19 pandemic and provides updates to the Akana corporate management group and updates and training Akana staff during the pandemic. Her responsibilities included developing and maintaining all EHS programs, policies, and training. She reviews job hazard analyses and project health and safety plans prepared by Akana project managers to identify and mitigate hazards associated with specific projects and tasks. Tara is also responsible for updating the EHS program and expanding training, acquiring additional field equipment, training all new and existing employees on the Akana EHS Program and internally auditing the program.
