2026 All Staff Training and Gathering Recap

Join us for a look back at Akana’s 2026 All Staff Training and annual All Staff Gathering! It was a memorable day of learning, alignment, celebration, and connection.
Staff from across the country joined us in Vancouver, Washington, following the two-day Corporate Management Group Summit. After a group breakfast, Herb and Jeff shared 2025 company results and unveiled the 2026 strategic plan. Service teams then participated in Townhall sessions to give feedback and align on their own strategic goals.
During lunch, Terry Hosaka presented the inaugural Projects of Excellence awards. With 23 submissions across architecture, engineering, environmental, FCA, energy, H&S, marketing, and admin, staff also voted for the People’s Choice Award.
We capped off training with a fun team-building challenge using only straws, string, and tape to support a 12‑oz can. Teamwork, creativity, and a few structural collapses made it unforgettable.
That evening, our All Staff Gathering brought everyone together for dinner, connection, and celebration. There were some special moments, raffle prizes, and announcing the Projects of Excellence winners!
It was a wonderful opportunity for our nationwide team to reconnect, celebrate accomplishments, and look ahead together.
