As Akana’s Asset Management Group Manager, Rick leads the firm’s efforts in facility condition assessments and long-term infrastructure asset planning. A licensed Professional Engineer with over 20 years of experience on a wide range of projects, Rick brings a rare combination of structural design expertise and real-world construction insight to every engagement.
Rick’s portfolio spans a wide range of vertical and waterfront infrastructure projects—from new building design and major upgrades to pier and wharf rehabilitation. Since 2015, his focus has been laser-trained on helping clients better understand and manage their physical assets. His work supports federal agencies, municipalities, tribal governments, and private clients, all seeking to stretch limited capital dollars by making data-driven decisions about repair, replacement, and reinvestment.
