Dean Armstrong, PG

Dean is the Client Service Manager for Akana’s Nevada National Security Site, leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver infrastructure and facilities solutions in support of the U.S. strategic stockpile stewardship program. His work requires high-level technical coordination, regulatory compliance, and secure operations, covering projects such as campus planning, water/wastewater systems, substations, roadways, and facility design including laboratories, communication centers, and command centers.

A seasoned geologist and Program/Senior Project Manager, Dean has more than 30 years of experience directing large-scale federal environmental and infrastructure contracts. He has managed over $100 million in contract value for DOE, USACE, Air Force, and GSA, with expertise spanning facility design, electrical transmission and distribution, transportation infrastructure, water and wastewater systems, and all phases of environmental remediation. He is highly skilled in scope development, cost estimation, quality management, fee negotiation, contract compliance, and managing IDIQ contracts.
