Trimet Blue Line IDIQ

Akana provided structural engineering and design services for multiple MAX Blue Line stations over the course of several years. This contract was one of several issued by Trimet to modernize the Blue Line MAX system, and Akana contributed structural engineering and design expertise on each of these projects. The station upgrades addressed security concerns, improved accessibility, enhanced sight lines, and replaced amenities that had reached the end of their useful life. The scope also included structural design for new public artwork installations.

Akana worked closely with Trimet and other members of the multidisciplinary design team, including architects, civil engineers, and electrical engineers. Our role ensured that structural solutions supported functional improvements while integrating seamlessly with the overall design objectives.
