11th Street and Warren Avenue Roundabout
Project Details
The 11th Street and Warren Avenue Roundabout project was a key infrastructure upgrade for the City of Bremerton, designed to improve traffic flow, enhance pedestrian safety, and support multimodal access at one of the city’s busiest intersections. By replacing a traditional signalized intersection with a modern single-lane roundabout, the project aimed to reduce congestion, calm traffic, and deliver safer, more efficient travel patterns. This initiative was part of Bremerton’s broader effort to modernize aging infrastructure and create more connected neighborhoods.
Akana provided full construction management services from preconstruction through closeout. Our team delivered comprehensive oversight, including a dedicated project manager, resident engineer, documentation specialist, and field inspectors. The project manager coordinated all stakeholders—City officials, contractors, utilities, and third parties—ensuring objectives were met within federally funded schedule and budget constraints. The resident engineer provided daily field oversight, interpreting design intent, resolving issues proactively, and verifying compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
Through collaborative management and technical expertise, Akana helped deliver a transformative project that improves safety, efficiency, and connectivity for the Bremerton community.
