ProjectS
Pump Station No. 8 CM Services
Project Details
As part of a citywide utility upgrade program, this project focused on rehabilitating an aging sanitary sewer pump station to improve reliability and extend service life. The work was critical to maintaining uninterrupted sewer service for the community and required close coordination with the City, contractor, utility providers, and operations and maintenance staff throughout construction.
Akana provided comprehensive construction-phase support, serving as the City’s representative during the project. Our team delivered constructability reviews that reduced risk, shortened schedules, and ensured compatibility with existing infrastructure. During construction, Akana oversaw daily field activities, verified installation quality, and enforced safety and environmental protection measures. We also managed project documentation, RFIs, and change orders while maintaining clear communication among all stakeholders.
Akana supported start-up, commissioning, and final acceptance to confirm that the rehabilitated system met operational requirements and long-term performance goals. Through proactive management and collaboration, Akana helped deliver a successful upgrade to a critical component of the City’s wastewater infrastructure.
