Akana led a two-firm team supporting the City of Portland in developing an internal environmental auditing program. The effort began with creating a permit-specific audit checklist and conducting a test audit to identify actionable items.

Following the test audit, Akana prepared a lessons-learned memorandum to inform the development of a comprehensive audit framework. The final deliverable was an audit framework manual designed to guide future internal audits. This manual included scenarios and examples to help City staff plan and implement audits effectively.
