Lighthouse Village Supportive Housing
Project Details
Lighthouse Village is a multi-phase development for the Housing Authority of Lincoln County (HALC) in Lincoln City, Oregon. The project was designed to provide affordable and supportive housing alongside essential community services. Development occurred in three phases: a multi-story housing complex, a medical clinic, and adjacent residential units.
Akana delivered comprehensive site design services for the two-story housing complex and supporting infrastructure. Work included roads, sidewalks, parking areas, pedestrian walkways, landscaping, and utility systems. The design adhered to Lincoln City Public Works Design Standards and Stormwater Best Management Practices, incorporating water quality features, detention piping, and conveyance systems to meet environmental requirements.
The project presented unique challenges, including steep slopes, geotechnical constraints, and frontage improvements along a state highway. Akana provided input on phasing, partition platting, grading, and utility design for sanitary sewer, stormwater detention, and waterline systems. Through technical expertise and collaboration, the team delivered a site plan that supports HALC’s mission to provide safe, accessible housing and healthcare for the Lincoln City community.
