Project Coordinator – OR

Are you ready to take your career to the next level with a forward-thinking, Native American-owned multi-disciplinary consulting firm? Akana is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team located in Portland, Oregon.

This is a full-time position with the first 90 days being in office; a hybrid schedule can then be discussed depending upon Akana’s needs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide support to Project Managers with project administration
  • Assist Project Managers with RFPs, contracts, proposal fees, accounting, and prepare project schedules
  • Process and review project submittals as appropriate
  • Maintain project tracking database and uploading project documentation
  • Provide research support to Principals and Project Managers
  • Track, prioritize, and manage project related issues
  • Record Project Meeting Minutes
  • Project Document Control including filing and archiving
  • Assist Project Managers and Accounting Department with incoming and outgoing invoice review, status reports to clients, and internal financial reporting
  • Provide routine formatting and editing to Akana staff to comply with the Akana Style Guide and good technical writing practices

Minimum Required Key Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, associate’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of two years’ project coordination and/or administrative experience is preferred; strongly prefer experience working in the A/C/E industry

In addition to the required qualifications the following skills are preferable:

  • A/C/E Project/team support experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience using Ajera/Deltek Systems; preferred
  • Must be able to work independently, particularly during deadlines and be proactive to meet project needs and deadline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Excellent scheduling skills
  • Proficiency in juggling and prioritizing multiple project tasks and deadlines is required
