ProjectS
National Park Services Hurricane Ridge
Project Details
Akana prepared a comprehensive site investigation report for a contaminated area within the meadow, ensuring compliance with Washington State’s Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) and the National Park Service (NPS) Contaminants Cleanup Branch Ecological Screening Values. The project addressed environmental risks and supported restoration efforts to protect ecological health.
Akana’s scope included project management and execution of key remediation activities. Deliverables encompassed parking area cleanup, storm drain cleaning, site investigation, and excavation of contaminated soil. Following excavation, Akana conducted a terrestrial ecological risk evaluation and prepared a post-excavation report to document compliance and confirm site safety. The team also managed asphalt repairs to restore impacted areas and maintain site functionality.
Through careful planning and adherence to regulatory standards, Akana delivered a thorough and effective cleanup process, ensuring environmental compliance and supporting long-term sustainability for the meadow site.
